The XXXIII SIMGBM Congress – Microbiology 2019 will take place at the Polo Didattico of Novoli, University of Florence (Blocco D6 - Via delle Pandette, 9).
How to get there:
You can get to the venue with the metro (T2) which goes from the Airport (stop at 300 m) to Alamanno Station (at 130 m from S.M. Novella Main Station).
You get out at San Donato-Università (450 m from the Venue).
Cost of the ticket: 1,50 Euro (valid for 90 min).

Registration deadlines and fees
The registration fee includes free entry to all scientific sessions and poster viewing, lunches, coffee breaks, welcome cocktail and the congress kit.

After May 31 registrations will be possible only on-site.
* to benefit from the reduced fee, SIMGBM Members must be in order with all membership payments, including 2019.

Junior Participants include all type of students (BSc, Master, Specialization, PhD students) or any other participant younger than 31. Students older than 31 must submit an official studentship certification.
Registration will be considered complete only after payment is cleared in the SIMGBM bank account (please, pay the fee in advance if payment is handled by a University or Society administration).

In the description of payment, indicate name surname and name of participant/s followed by Microbiology 2019 (e.g. Bianchi Maria e Rossi Antonio - Microbiology 2019). Payments without specifications will not be taken into consideration.
On-site registrations must be paid by cash or check.
Receipt of payment will be available at the Congress together with the certificate of attendance.
Registration fees are not refundable but they can be transferred to another participant upon approval of the Organizing Committee.
Abstracts are accepted exclusively during online registration. Submitted abstracts will not be considered if the corresponding registration payments are not received within March 25.
The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author only. The abstract text must be no longer than 200 words. In the registration form you will find details for abstract editing.
During the submission procedure, the presenting Author must choose between oral and poster presentation and indicate a specific session (A, B, C):
A: Microbial genetics and genomics
B: Environmental ad industrial microbiology
C: Interactions between microbes/viruses and their hosts
The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts proposed for oral presentations. Only participants selected for oral presentation will be notified in due advance. Non-selected abstracts will be presented as a poster, without notification. Abstract selected for oral presentation cannot be presented also as a poster.
Poster size is 70 x 100 cm (width x height). Poster number will be indicated in the Abstract Book. Further details on poster sessions will be available before the Congress.
